This page is a pointer to useful, reusable student projects at the U. of Nottingham.

Here are the projects:

• SP1: A model that uses tower noticing to solve the Tower of Hanoii by Tim Chapman. 1997 class.
• SP2: A model that starts to implement the Prisoner's dilemma two person game, including some graphic displays by Stephen Croker. 1998 class.
• SP3: A model that expands the analogy code, by Andrew Pope, May 1998. to show negative transfer and the role of the object-class heirarchy in analogical problem solving. It also demonstrates the use of the soar-menu in Tcl/Tk. 1998 class.
• SP4: Steps towards implementating the EPAM-III theory within the Soar architecture, by David Carboni. May 1998. (a) an explicit formulation of the functionality of EPAM's discrimination net as a KLM, PSCM and partial SLCM. (b) an example perspective on the development of Soar models through KLM, to the PSCM and then the SLCM. (c) methods for rapidly generating new Soar code using spreadsheets and a macro language. [Note: This code does not fully implement Epam, or necessarily even load.] 1998 class.
• SP5: A program to implement a model of child language learning, by Nabil Jamal. This code implements a simple approach to modelling regular noun number based loosely on the analogy code. 1999 class.
• SP6: A program to play tic-tak-toe (noughts and crosses) and a Tcl/Tk interface to display the game and gather data.. by Barney Harris. This code implements a simple approach to playing tic-tac-toe. 1999 class.
• SP7: A program to solve the missionairies and cannibales problem and a Tcl/Tk interface to display the game and gather data.. by Tom d'Roza. 1999 class.
• SP8: Analogy model extended to apply to Unix and tested with data.. by George Michaelides. 1999 class.
• SP9: A version of Seibel-Soar revised for Soar 7 with graphic display for model and subject (can gather data).. by Carl Patridge. 1999 class.
• SP10: A version of Able-Soar that looks a new domain and has some new displays. You will need to load the code to find these. by Jamie Bayly. 1999 class.
• SP11: A version of Able-Soar that includes a display to input any problem.. by Jo Sonley. 1999 class.
