Eclipse/Herbal Exercise Frank Ritter IST 402 Using Basic Herbal Homework Work in your pairs. You can turn in one homework per group. The homework can come in via email or printed or both. 10 points total. Using the Herbal tutorial (http://acs.ist.psu.edu/ist402/Herbal%20Tutorial%20v3.1c.pdf), you should read and do the following sections (essentially, ignoring the Jess system): 1, 2, 3, 4.1-4.13.1 (not 4.12), 5-5.1, 6-6.4.1, 7-7.1, 8, 9 (mislabelled at 7.1, etc.), and 10. 1. (1 pt) Create a Sally model based on Ch. 4. You should turn in your sally.soar model and a trace of it running. (note: Soar 9.3.1 might not produce exactly the same trace, and you might have slightly different names for things, this is quite acceptable.) Also, document your model with the design rationale. 2. (1 pt) Create a revised Sally model based on Ch. 6. You should turn in your hierarchical Sally model and a trace of it running. 3. (3 pt) Create a cleaningBull model (10.7) and turn in your cleaningBull model and a trace of it running. 4. (2 pt) What have you seen during the progression of these models? (this is an open ended question) 5. (3 pt) What advantages, disadvantages, and problems did you see with Herbal, with Soar, or the tutorial? Please note at least two (2) of each.
