Downloading the Tutorial Files
This tutorial may be accessed via the
Maricopa Center for
Learning and Instruction WWW server. You may experience improved
performance if you download the files to your local computer.
Instructions
Because of the differences in which the Macintosh and DOS computer
handle plain text files, you must select a format from the choices
below. Both types are stored as compressed archives. The tutorial
files occupy slightly more than 500k of disk space.
The instructions will vary depending
on which World Wide Web application you are using. First check
your browsers preferences section to make sure that it
is configured to launch expander applications
for files ending in:
- ".zip" for Windows ZIP archives
- ".sit" for Macintosh StuffIt Expander archives
- ".tar" for unix archives
Or, if you browser has a Load To Disk menu option, turn
this feature on, click on the icon below, and then turn it off/
When it has finished downloading, select Open Local
from the File menu.
Look for a file called "start.html"
(or "start.htm" for Windows) and open it within your
WWW browser
From there will be a link to the tutorial's index.
