This tutorial was designed to help instructors create learning resources that access information on the Internet. Therefore, the exercises involve writing a lesson called Volcanoes! However, this tutorial may be used by anyone interested in learning how to create World Wide Web pages.

Before you start....

  1. Read the Introduction. Really! It contains useful information.
  2. Take a peek at a sample of the World Wide Web page you will develop in this tutorial.
  3. It will help to use the Hotlist or Bookmark feature in your WWW browser to place a marker for this page. This way you can quickly and easily return to a particular lesson.
  4. This tutorial attemps to present instructions generic to any WWW browser.
